- These are absolutely necessary to prevent shorts, considering that as soon as I connect one battery to my parallel board, all the male T-Plugs become hot. I will leave these caps on until I'm ready to plug in a battery and only then. As soon as I unplug a battery, then these caps will go back on. A simple procedure to prevent shorts.
