ISDT Q8 Max

Q8M
Tiny. Powerful. Affordable. Unreal.
$88.99

The Q8 was an instant success, and the Q8 Max is ready to join the party! Capable of up to 1000W output with charge rates up to 30A, the Q8 Max is a true high-power charger - but still small enough to fit in your pocket and still bargain priced.

With more and more pilots moving to 6S packs, the extra charge rate of theQ8 Max will be a welcome upgrade - capable of 30A charge even on 8S, it could easily charge thirty 6S 1000mAh packs in an hour. And if you've got a pack you need to dispose of, the new "Destroy" mode makes it easier than ever to safely kill an old battery.

The all-new IPS screen and touch interface is the icing on the cake, making the Q8 Max the easiest to use ISDT charger yet.

Best upgrade in awhile.

Finally upgraded to a 'smart charger'. Best move I've made in a long time with the purchase of a ISDT Q8 Max. Very simple to do many tasks. Small in size but very powerful. I wish I would have done this earlier.

ISDT Q8 Max

Had the charger for a few weeks, working great. Was a afraid the touch screen style button would skip or miss a press, but it has not skipped a beat. 8s capability is great.

ISDT Q8 Max — Simple, Elegant and Futureproof

After considering every smart charger on the market, the ISDT Q8 Max in the summer of 2020, leads the pack in capabilities, features, design, engineering and value, IMHO — portable 1000 W charger, 1S-8S batteries, large IPS display with clean easy-to-use GUI, elegant design.

The all-in-one AC or AC/DC chargers, such as the Hobbymate/Hota D6 Duo Pro AC/DC 200/650 W and the ISDT D2 AC 200 W chargers, are hobbled in charging power to 1/3 and 1/5 respectively the capacity of the Q8 Max and cost 15% more even when factoring in a separate AC 400W Power Supply which doubles the AC charging power of the others. Translation, you can charge one battery in 1/2 the time or two batteries in the same time (with 400 W AC power supply) or 3-5 times faster (with 1000W input). These all-in-ones are also limited to 6S cells for the same reason. The ISDT P30 is a nice dual DC benchtop rig which offers parallel charging to 1500 W, but the battery power and balance connections are on different sides of the box which makes the cumbersome battery connections even more so, and prices out at more than 2.1x the Q8 Max and less portable. Venom Power is just not competitive with 80 and 100W charging power, old school 'non-GUI' 4-button interfaces, no polarity protection banana plug style jacks and premium pricing. As for iCharger, the 800W X6 similar in size and capabilities, tops out at 800 W, limited to 6S, sports outdated GUI graphics and pushes 1.5x the Q8 Max price. And, their 308 Duo and 4010 Duo DC benchtop units with dual 800-1200 W, 8-10S and parallel charging lead in terms of capabilities and power, but the GUI graphics are dated and they start at US$275-385, 3-4x the Q8 Max, too much. All things change in time, but fro now the ISDT Q8 Max with a US$40 external 400W power supply or better reigns.
