The plastic knob used to lock the adjustable arm ibn place breaks frequently. I have had to buy several of the adjustable arms just to replace the knob. That is the weak point of this product.
I picked this up to go along with their ProgressiveRC Soldering Jig & Board that came with one of these, so I ordered a extra 1 to make it into a 2 clamp holder. Price seemed right ,but only issue is the build quality of how this 1 clamp is attached to metal board is missing washers etc.. that the 1 that came with kit has. 1 from the kit that has the extra washers slides and locks down better than the 1 I bought individually.
Soldering stand is just what I needed - bought the extra arm also.
I recently ordered the soldering stand plus an extra adjustable arm.
I received the Soldering stand within a few days and discovered that one of the adjustable arms was broken. I emailed Progressive RC with pictures of the broken arm and they quickly sent me a replacement. No hassles, no problems, no excuses .
What a wonderful company to do business with. They standby their products.

I liked the looks of these adjustable arms but did not like the cost of the soldering stand they came with. I ordered the arms by themselves, purchased a 1/2"x3x6" block of aluminum, tapped out holes and mounted them to the aluminum block. Now I have a heavy duty soldering stand with 3 arms for soldering XT90 connectors, large bullet connectors etc... for less than 1/2 the cost of the stand these arms were suppose to mount to.
