TBS Mambo

TX-TM
This compact full-size radio has cutting-edge features including built-in TBS Tracer!
$200.00

Team BlackSheep has already redefined the portable remote control with the TBS Tango 2. Now they're back with one of the most popular requests: a compact full-size remote! The TBS Mambo follows in the Tango's footsteps, but focuses on all of the things the Tango 2 tries not to have: a larger screen, traditional form factor with switches and potentiometers, JR module bay, replaceable batteries and trim buttons!

But do not fear: they haven't made a cookie-cutter remote! With the built-in antenna (external antenna available as optional add-on), the 2-position and momentary gamepad buttons, and TBS Tracer built-in, they've accomplished a few "firsts" that put this radio into a class on its own!

The first radio with TBS Tracer built in. And it fits your existing TBS Crossfire module through the JR bay! TBS Tracer is the world's lowest latency radio link, and builds upon the rock-solid reputation of the TBS Crossfire code base. With the continued development and expansion of the TBS ecosystem, pilots will remain on the bleeding edge of capabilities paired with the ease of use and overall robustness that TBS products are known for.

Perfect! Super simple.

Tbs mambo is a great radio, hands down my favorite. Coming from using a jumper t16 with crossfire. I like the boxy shape of the radio, fits in my hands very comfortably. As a pincher the sticks are perfectly placed able to get a full range of movements in all directions. Being able to take my crossfire module out of my t16 an plug it into the Mambo, create a new model in the radio an start flying is as simple as that! Was really surprised how easy simple it is. Now, the throttle stick came feeling smooth, but I like the throttle a bit looser. I highly recommend downloading the PDF an reading it. It shows in the directions on how to adjust the throttle tension in detail. Among many many other things.
This radio was a gift from my wife an our Aunt. All in all I am very happy with it. It will get years of use.
I did do a few upgrades other than lowering the throttle tension, I added a bit of heat shrink to my switches an plan on finding a kickstand to install.

I love this radio. It feels solid in the hands and makes me feel more in control than I did with my Qx7. Currently running it on a single 2500 mah battery and can still fly all day.

TBS got it right this time

Finally a radio for the next 2-3 years.
After using the Tango for the last 3 years I know the reliability of TBS .
Perfect size for pinchers. I also got the honey ball stick ends and the precision is fanomable.
Open Tx is going to be available any day now but Freedom Tx platform is solid.
I'm still using the crossfire reciver and didn't have to rebind any kwads. Just selected ext module and started flying in about 10 seconds.
Also note the I have never failsafed with the TBS system. I saved the best for last, the price is rediculasy low.
Good luck finding one to buy.

Bang for your buck!

Bought for my dad to make the move from Spektrum to tbs and open tx. This thing is awesome! I like more switches but this will be a wicked travel/backup radio. Zero complaints
