Very helpful Helping Hands!!!

This is the third soldering station I've owned and by far the best I've found. The other two I own are the RCProPlus (RCPP) soldering station and a generic station with alligator clips on static arms (opposed to flexible or bendy hands). The RCPP station had too stiff of springs in the 'hands', and the thumb screws constantly loosen.

The ProgressiveRC Helping Hands are sturdy, hold their tension, have a good grip for the assortment of wires and plugs (8-28ga & xt30-RCPP S6), and have the diversity to add as many 'hands' as needed (the set comes with two and I purchased a third hand).

The RCPP stand is expensive.... this stand is a GREAT PRICE and blows my other two Soldering stations out of the water with its dexterity and strength!

Thank you ProgressiveRC for the fantastic product and great deals!!! CHEERS!

Perfect Clamp style!

I have had two different soldering types of "helping hands" from the smaller compact kind with alligator clips to the jumbo style with long extensions that are magnetized to the board. This one, however, is just much better all the way around. It is the perfect size for more than 90% of solder jobs. The clips, anchors and adjustability is well thought-through. The proximal aspect of the clips are non-jaged, while the distal aspect has nice jaws to bite anything needed. The base is sturdy and has a nice balanced weight making this set of helping hands my "go-to" for making connectorscap packs and adapters. Highly Recommend!

Works beautifully for largish work

My third soldering gizmo, and by far the best. I’ve done several jobs. Claws grip firmly and are big enough to grab onto plugs. Plugs are probably too strong for small wires and may damage insulation, so don’t throw away your little one.

They almost made it good.

I love their other soldering stand better even though it only has 1 hand because the whole unit is heavier and doesnt move around as much. This one is fine for certain applications but if your using a hand to hold a bullet connector at a 30ish degree angle when you go to apply pressure to the bullet from the wire one of two things happens. Either the arm start moving sideways no matter how hard I clamp it down or the entire base slides because the unit has no weight to it. If these two issues were addressed Id give it 4 stars. If they replaced all the plastic parts that get tightened with metal where I could really lock everything in place to where no amoutn of pressure would make it move or have to worry about breaking it then Id give it 5 Stars

New to me soldering stand

The soldering stand comes with 2 clamps. I ordered additional clamps which makes it much easier to butt splice small electronic wires together.
