Shallow cups, prone to breakage, loose fitting

Personally, I wouldn't buy these again - I bought them expecting higher quality from PRC, but what I got was... not that. Of the pack I got, one of the cups broke off when I rotated it with my cutters (as is typical before soldering), which meant that the machining put the cup so close to the socket, it just snapped out with very thin walls between the two features. That's pretty bad.

Further, the cups are so shallow as to be difficult to hold a wire in place while soldering - the ones I picked up from the Bezos Empire had relatively deep cups that held the wire in place before soldering. Doing this with cotton-thin stranded silicone 12 AWG wires is a real pain in the arse.

Finally, once assembled, I find that they make a looser connection with the other branded Bezos Empire XT60 connectors (described as an internal pin / externally a female socket) than mating two of the same brand. I guess that's to be expected between brands, but I'd think an XT60 would be an XT60. It still works, but it's not as confidence-inspiring as the other brand when I'm moving 50 amps for hours on end...

FWIW, the PRC connectors are a darker yellow than the other-branded ones from Bezos Empire.

Bonus star, though, for including individually cut pieces of shrink tube. Saves a bit of hassle!

Best XT60 connectors I have found yet

I have a pet project of trying to find the best XT60 connectors out there. Since the design is open there are a lot of resellers out there, and I've tried out many. Vendors I have purchased from including FPV suppliers like Rotorgeeks, Pyro, ReadymadeRC, also Banggood and ebay auctions claiming to sell authentic Amass connectors.

Most of the time the issue is either:
1) Excessive friction when plugging in between the male/female connectors
2) Cheap feeling plastics
3) The design for the wire seat does not allow you to place the wire inside the connector, only outside the connector

I wish those other suppliers would take more pride in selecting the best connector so I wouldn't have to do the research but the fact of the matter is that I was not satisfied with a single XT60 connector I purchased until I recieved this set from ProgressiveRC. This is by far the best XT60 connector I've found and I will continue to purchase from Progressive from this point on. The only thing I wish Progressive would do is supply 4mm heatshrink instead of whatever they have in there now. If you don't know, 4mm heatshrink fits exactly in the gap for the heatshrink over the wire lug without any pre-shrinking and makes the heatshrinking process extremely easy

As an aside, the best XT90 connectors I have found are from the RC car company Arrma, but if Progressive has a set I will try those too.
